EK THA TIGER - Review

on

Salman Khan's action pack hits the floor once again with EK THA TIGER....

Avinash Singh Rathore a.k.a. TIGER, played by Salman Khan is an agent for Indian Intelligence Agency RAW who struggles between his lifetime dilemma to go for DUTY or LOVE???
Tiger's love Zoya played by Katrina Kaif is an agent again but this time it’s for the Pakistani Intelligence Agency ISI.
The first half didn't come up holding but the second half proved to be quite captivative for the audience.
The action scenes are done in the best ways but lags behind when it comes to the Romance Factor as "Ek Tha Tiger" being a romantic story lacks in this element. Katrina's actions scenes are something new to watch and are directed quite well. The locations for the movie are chosen intelligently with very few scenes shot in India..

The action scenes kept the flag high for the movie. The direction for the romantic scenes was very weak apart from the fact that the base is kept romantic. But it was a 9 on 10 for the action scenes. The Flashbacks are very well used in the demanding situations, else the first half would have become less attracting though still the second half succeeded in first half came up a little slower.

The song which got the most popularity from the movie..."Mashallah" due to the lack of the situation is being released with the End Titles in the movie. The music was average and didn't come up as well as expected.
But when it comes to most Indian population's "Salman BHAI"
"EK THA TIGER... EK HAI TIGER.... EK HI RAHEGA TIGER.... that is SALMAN KHAN...."

GANGS OF WASSEYPUR 2- MOVIE REVIEW

on

Gangs of Wasseypur 2, plunges straightaway into action giving no time for those who missed the first part though it was barely required to start with flashbacks.

Sardar Khan is dead; the family members are upset but Yashpal Sharma, who showed up in the first part as a guest appearance, makes the entire situation humorous with his sad song-singing supported with the band members. Danish Khan, son of Sardar Khan, swears to bring down the murderers of his father, he kills one of the four who killed his father and surrenders to the police. Faizal Khan comes to know that his friend Fazlu was a mole who spied for Qureshis, who also kills his brother Danish Khan. Faizal Khan, who was always seen as the person who could never take revenge for his family, swears to his mother, Nagama, that he with extract the revenge for his grandfather’s father’s and his brother’s death. The fear of Faizal Khan spreads in the town after he kills his friend Fazlu. And since then, Faizal grows as a politician, murderer, business man but continues on his journey to kill Ramadhir Singh as a big boss man.

The story has many sub-plots playing within the story. Durga, the second wife of Sardar Khan, starts working for Ramadhir Singh. She has a son, Definite Khan, who wishes to rule over Wasseypur someday. Faizal Khan has a brother, perpendicular, who is still small but acts equal to Faizal Khan’s power, along with his friend Tangent. They, very sincerely, loots the jewellery showroom without getting into the hands of police who again are controlled by Faizal Khan who sends them money regularly. Shamshad Alam is a small time businessman from Dhanbad who later joins with Faizal Khan and works with him. Faizal Khan gets married with Mohsina and she becomes his only support whenever he needed her.

Part 2 definitely has a lot more to offer. There are plenty of chase scenes, gun firing and funny moments in the film that will never disappoint you, scenes when Definite goes to kill Shamshad but his gun doesn’t work, and when definite goes out to kill Sultan and is being guided on phone by a person who also is talking to two other guys who are following Sultan, Faizal’s interactions with his wife Mohsina, Yashpal Sharma’s dramatic singing, perpendicular’s superb dialogue delivery are some of the wittiest scenes of part 2.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Faizal Khan plays the major role in the film and does his act really well. He is classy, smart, ruthless, mind-player and yes emotional too.  Nawazuddin Siddiqui did complete justice to the role and delivers a memorable performance as Faizal Khan.

Zeishan Quadri as Definite Khan will surely surprise the audience with his mind blowing performance. He was the one who pitched the story of Wasseypur to the director first and also wrote the story along with the other writers of the film.  He is as good as Nawaz in the film. He is supportive to his brother Faizal, but also has his own intentions. Zeishan Quadri is the only character in the film with surprises and more amusing scenes.

Raj Kumar Yadav also delivers one of the finest performances in the film as Shamshad Alam. He is with Faizal but turns against him as the story progresses.

Aadtiya Kumar as Perpendicular is funny throughout. His dialogue delivery is something that the audience will definitely like the most.

Tigmanshu Dhulia as Ramadhir Singh though had lesser scenes but played his part marvellously. He is silent but yet louder in actions. Watch the most interesting dialogue of the film delivered by Tigmanshu in the film about the cinema in India.

Huma Qureshi as Mohsina plays the wife of Faizal Khan. Her scenes when she sings and calms Faizal are the beauty of the film.

Richa Chadda, Piyush Mishra, Satya Anand, Jameel Khan, Vinnet Kumar, Snadeep Arora and others too delivered really good performances and drives the story.

‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ is undoubtedly the best work of the director Anurag Kashyap. He manages to maintain the interest of the audience throughout the film.

Rajeev Ravi’s cinematography is top class especially the long-cut shots, chase shots and the action shots.

Sneha Khanwalkar’s compositions in the film are outstanding. Songs of the film is the major plus point for the film whether it was part 1 or part 2, especially the song Chi-Cha Ledar sung by Durga. Other songs of the film; electric piya, aabroo and of course teri keh ke loonga supports the film really well.

Dialogues of the film are raw, realistic and witty at moments.

‘Gangs of Wasseypur 2’ is certainly bigger than the 1st one. This one’s got more blood, more witty scenes, more gun firing, more mind games and a cast with a marvellous performances.

“DON’T MISS IT!! WARNA FAIZAL KHAN  TUMHARI KEH KE LENGE!!”
